Health Information/Data Exchange
To improve the quality of healthcare for Medicare beneficiaries and provide for safe, efficient exchange of information regarding their care, the CMS provides the QualityNet portal for secure communications and healthcare quality data exchange between quality improvement organizations (QIOs), hospitals, physician offices, nursing homes, end stage renal disease (ESRD) networks and facilities, and data vendors. Through eSimplicity’s user research process and interaction with multiple clinical standard and quality lines of business, we help the CMS redesign a modern, user-friendly portal that fosters interoperability of clinical and healthcare quality data. We promote interoperable solutions (e.g., FHIR and HL 7) to support real-time system-to-system interaction.
