Quality Improvement and Evaluation
eSimplicity helps redesign the CMS Quality Improvement & Evaluation system, which is the clinical umbrella that supports the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and the Online Survey and Certification and Reporting System (OSCAR), Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS), Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility – Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) and many other functional systems. We collect and validate data on provider- and beneficiary-specific outcomes of care and performance. This data is used by CMS to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of services paid under the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
